Guild Goals:
Our primary goals for this guild are outlined above. We will work to advance the guild in levels, membership, and personal skill levels by working together, as much as possible to improve. This means we expect members to try to help each other out whenever possible. We expect members to ask in guild chat if anyone wants to come to groups with open spots before asking in general channel. We expect members to try to improve themselves through getting gear outside of raids, asking other members for suggestins, reading the forums for information etc.
We expect members to refrain from speaking in open chat channels in any negative manner. This means no bashing of other guilds, individuals or other such situations in game, or on any forum, that can cause a negative light ot shine upon our guild. Remember every member's actions reflect upon us as a whole. It is our goal to be one of the most respected guild on the server for being competent as well as drama free. We will not tolerate personal attacks on others. You're free to say you disagree with something, or that you do not like something, but do so in a respectful manner. You are not free to call people names or make other personal attacks.
1st offense = warning
We are a raiding guild. That is the primary purpose of this guild. We do not require mandatory attendance, but we do ask and expect as much participation from our members as they are able to do. To keep the roster small, it is important that people show up as much as possible. There is no set percentage, but low attendance will likely result in review of membership. We need members to log on outside of raids to gear up, get AA's, and help others. You are not to raid with other guilds or pickup raids, unless it is content that we no longer raid or you get Officer permission beforehand.
Applicants: Applicants will first register on our forums. Once their registration has been approved, they will post an application here, or they may send a privat applicaton to an officer through our private message system. The application will then be reviewed by the Officers and an initial vote will take place on whether to accept the applicant.
Once accepted by the Officers the applicant will be guild tagged, given applicant access on the forums, entered in the DKP site, and their 2 week applicant phase will start. During this applicant phase, we expect applicants to attend raids as well as try to get into guild groups. It is the responsibility of the applicant to get to know the members.
After the 2 week applicant phase, a 7 day vote on the forums will take place. The applicant will need to obtain a minimum of 75% yes votes to become a member. If the applicant obtains 3 or more no votes, his application will be dismissed. If the applicant does not obtain 75% yes votes, but also does not obtain 3 or more no votes, their application will be reviewed by the officers to determine if they will be given a further 2 week extension.
Alts: All Alts may be given an invite to Trauma, Element's Alt guild. You may hve as many Alts in Trauma as you like, but only 1 designated raid alt.
Raid Alts will be Alts that we need, and use, fairly regularly on raids. As such, if you ask to have 1 of your Alts considerd as a Raid Alt, you must follow and meet these guidelines.
1) You need to have 172+ AA's so you have your end line TSO abilities. If we need you to spec a specific way, you willl need to carry a raid spec in your AA mirror for raids.
2) You need to have a complete set of T2 or better armor. You need to play your Alt often enough to get as much good gear outside of raids as possible. This is not a way to use an under geared character and try to get easy loot.
3) You must be very knowledgeable and skilled with your Alt. You should be treating it like a main, reading up on it as much as you can and learning from our mains of that class whatever you can.
4) You will play the Alt whenever we ask. If we ask and you refuse, you will immediately lose the Raid Alt position.
5) Only Alts the Officers deem necessary will be considered Raid Alts. This most likely will not include DPS classes. We're not looking to have a backup raid worth of Alts as Raid Alts. Just one we need and use on a regular basis.
6) Officer discretion can over rule any of these requirements if the Officers feel the person can fill our raid needs and we have no other better candidates for that class.
If you feel you fit the above criteria and would like to be on the Raid Alt roster please contact an Officer in game.
The sole change this makes is to allow the Raid Alts to get loot for their primary roles, before other Alts. They still must pay 25 plat and it must go to Alts before they can even get it. Officers will be keeping strict control over this, and if we feel someone is trying to get something that is not needed (such as a healer taking DPS loot) we will put a stop to it as well as have a discussion with said person.
Raid Expectations: Loot is handled using an Open Auction DKP System. Please read the DKP Rules and DKP Tracking Site. Raid spots will be handled through raid need first. After balancing the raid, the Officers will determine who gets in raid and who sits based ona variety of factors.
Each member is expected to bring a full compliment of potions to every raid regardless of what target we are expecting to hit for the night. We may expect to hit a certian target, but do to unforseen circumstances our target may change and as such you need to be prepared for anything. The items we expect you to bring include, but ar not limited to: repair kits, food, drink, temp adorns, cure potions, poisons, ammo, signets, etc. Pleas try to bring enough of everything to last the entire raid. Some nights we will go through a lot more consumables than others, such as when we are working on new encounters for instance.
Each member is expected to read up on all raid strategies posted here. Please read up on them before the scheduled raid, andif you have any questions speak to the raid leader before the raid so that as much confusion can be eliminated before raid time as possible.
Attendance will be tracked by the DKP Officer. Every member is responsible for making sure their attendance was tracked properly by checking the DKP site. You have 2 weeks to get any errors corrected. After that time, no corrections will be allowed. Any problems with attendance will be handled before or after raid time, never during the raid.
All members will be expected to download and use Ventrilo. We do not require you to have a microphone, but we do ask that you are at least able to listen as all raid instructions will be primarily handled through Ventrilo.
Missing in Action (MIA): Any member who will be unable to make a raid, or will be late for raid, should make a post in the MIA thread on the forums.
Any member that will be on an extended leave of absence, such as a vacation, should make a post in the MIA thread on the forums. Simply informing an Officer is not enough. Please make a post.
Any member gone for 2 weeks or more, without haveing made a post may be removed from the guild. When they return, they may re-apply, or in the case of an emergency causing them to be gone, officers may, at their discretion, reinstate the membership.
Main Change Policy: If you intend to change your main, you must do so in writing by posting on the boards with your request. Please post your current class and the class you intend to play. Your request will be reviewd and voted on by the Officers. This review and vote will take 3 days and will be subject to Officer discretion. The following rules apply to changing mains.
1) If your request is initiated by the guild from need, your main change will be implemented immediately after vote by Officers and there will be no loot restriction enforced.
2) If your request for main change is initiated by you, your main change will be implemented immediately after vote and review by Officers. If it is approved, there will be a mandatory 1 week loot restriction place on your new main. This means your new main may not loot any raid gear until the end of your restricted period.
3) If your main changed is denied, you will need to help our Recruitment Officer find a replacement for your current main before you may change. Once a replacement has been found, post your intent again and step 2 will follow from this point forward.
4) If you are asked to change main out of need for the guild you will retain your current amount of DKP. If you change main of your own accord your DKP will be reset to zero.
Please understand that if your main change is denied it is most likely because your class is very needed by us and we will have a difficult time progressing without your class. We don not want to make you play a toon you have no desire to play, but we do ask that you assit in finding a suitable replacemetn for your previous main.
